De la confusión a la claridad: organizando mi colección de City Hunter

I was auditing my massive City Hunter collection when I stumbled upon a missing gap in my download list. Seeing the fansub skip from file 102 to 105, I initially assumed that episodes 52 and 53 of the second series were completely absent.

After double-checking the files, it turns out those gaps were just TV specials mixed into the numbering. Once corrected, all 140 episodes are actually there in order.

The Cataloging Dilemma

With the count sorted, I considered adding movies to a chronological sequence. However, trying to put movies chronologically is a nightmare because they often contradict the anime continuity—as seen with franchises like Dragon Ball or Detective Conan.

To solve this, we switched to using ‘Release Year’ for ordering and added ‘Meta-serie’ tags to group everything by franchise. This keeps TV series distinct from movies without forcing impossible debates about canon.

This approach makes managing the collection much easier and avoids getting bogged down in fan debates over continuity.
