Calculando tu Cintura Ideal: La Proporción Áurea

Calculating your ideal waist measurement is a classic topic in body proportions, especially when you want to achieve that balanced aesthetic. If you are standing at 180 cm and have a shoulder circumference of 130 cm, you already possess a very wide upper base.

The Math Behind It

The most common reference used in fitness and male aesthetics is the shoulder-to-waist ratio of approximately 1.6. This is often called the Golden Ratio for body proportions.

To get your specific number, you simply divide your shoulder measurement by this factor: dividing 130 cm by 1.6 gives you a result around 80 to 82 cm.

Putting It Into Perspective

While that calculated number is the aesthetic target, it helps to look at different ranges in reality:

  • 85–90 cm: This range keeps you looking well-proportioned and realistic.
  • 80–85 cm: Dropping here enters a more marked, athletic look.
  • Below 80 cm: Going lower leans into a competitive fitness style, which is difficult to maintain naturally.
